It wasn't my intent at first to make a post about it, until I saw a Tumblr entry that really pissed me off...

Basically, the whole entry was talking about new characters in Hetalia. The poster wished Himaruya would stop making new characters. If this was because the others haven't got a lot of appearances, I would be okay with this, but it wasn't. ( Read more... )

I've recently ducked back into the fandom after being off pursuing other interests (but keeping up with a handful of beloved fics) for about a year. I have been completely out of touch with the fandom and the progression of canon this whole time.

Okay, I'm going to preface this whole wank with this statement: German is my second language. I love it. I'm working on Italian as my third, and I also love that, so it's safe to say that I'm very fond of languages. Spanish is next on my list, and I expect to love that, too.

Judging by some of the phrases we use when talking here, most of us have been to tvtropes. Tvtropes was the first source I went to when I got into Hetalia (well, admittedly, the fetish fuel wikia was first, but...). Allow me to tell you guys a bit about what my first idea of Hetalia was based on the tvtropes page.
